Terms of use

By using stlview.app you agree to these terms. They are short because the tool runs on your device and never receives your files.

Drop STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP or G-code here

or click to browse

Also GLB / glTF, PLY, IGES, OFF, 3DS, FBX, DAE, WRL, AMF · several files at once (OBJ + MTL, glTF + BIN)

🔒 Files are opened by your browser and never leave your device

What the tool is

stlview.app is a browser tool that opens, converts, edits and slices 3D files. Its code runs in your tab, and the files you open are read and processed on your device instead of being sent to us. You do not need an account, and the tool does not ask for your name or email address.

Using the tool

You may use the viewer, converter, editor and slicer for personal and commercial work. Only open files you have the right to use, such as your own designs or parts a client or supplier has shared with you. The open-source components keep their own licences, listed on the about page.

Check the results

Conversions, repairs, weights, costs, print-time estimates and G-code are computed by software and can be wrong for a given file. Check sizes and units before you print or send a part. Watch the first layer when you print G-code made here, because the printer profiles have not been test-printed on real machines yet. The tool is provided as is, without a warranty, and we are not liable for failed prints, wasted material or machine damage.

Limits

There is no fixed file-size cap; your computer's memory sets it, and models above roughly 1–2 million triangles may not open. The tool is tested in Chromium browsers only. Features and formats that a page marks as not tested or not supported are outside what we stand behind.

Changes

The tool and these terms may change, for example when a feature is added or removed. The current version is always on this page, and using the tool after a change means you accept the new version.
